KW Engineering is Hiring a desktop support analyst Near Salt Lake, UT

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. This role demands a customer service-oriented individual who is proactive in anticipating and resolving issues, while effectively managing computing resources.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
One to three years of experience in installing and supporting PC and laptop hardware and software.
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Professional Certifications (Desirable):
HDI Desktop Support Technician or Support Center Analyst.
CompTIA certifications.
Microsoft Certified IT Professional or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades.
Collaborating with hardware and software vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.
Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization.
Creating user accounts and managing access control in line with company policies.
Handling Level 1 responsibilities, including managing all IT tickets, either directing to our Managed Service Provider (MSP) or resolving independently.
Onboarding new hires by setting up their IT assets and ensuring seamless integration into our systems.
Offboarding departing employees, managing the reassignment and return of IT equipment, and securing data handling.
Managing the KnowBe4 training program for employees, ensuring regular and effective cybersecurity training.
Monitoring and responding to phishing alerts, maintaining a high level of vigilance against security threats.
